HAIR EXTENSIONS BY AMANDA

Uses several different methods of installing hair extensions.  Below is a brief description of each individual method.  At consultation stage you will be advised which will be the most suitable method for your hair type.

The HBA Shrink Tube MethoD

The HBA Shrink Tube hair extension method uses tiny little plastic tubes which have a very light coating of keratin on the inside. The HBA Shrink Tube is threaded onto your natural hair, a pre-bonded strand of extension hair is then placed inside the tube along with your natural hair and then using a special heat clamp the HBA Shrink Tube is then heat activated and shrinks around them both. This provides a water-tight seal and is a very kind method of hair extensions due to there being only a tiny amount of glue inside the HBA Shrink Tube thus no glue is actually fusing with your natural hair.  The glue is just there to prevent slippage. The HBA Shrink Tube hair extension method is also very hardwearing, they last the full 12 weeks with little or no maintenance required, the plastic does not break down and there is little shedding due to the hair extension strand being pre-bonded.  The hair with this method can be reused.

The Pre-Bonded MethoD

The Pre-Bonded hair extension method is a glue in system.  A small nail like keratin tip is placed under a small section of your natural hair.  A heat tool is then used to melt the keratin tip. Whilst the keratin glue is still warm, the two strands are rolled and fused together providing a tight seal. The Pre-Bonded extension method lasts approximately 12 weeks with maintenance being required. The hair with this method can partially be reused.

The Micro-ring Method

The Micro-Ring hair extension method uses tiny little aluminium tubes which have absolutely no glue at all.  The Micro-Ring  is threaded onto your natural hair, a pre-bonded strand of extension hair is then placed inside the tube along with your natural hair and then using a special clamp the Micro-Ring is then clamped flat.  This provides a water-tight seal and is a very kind method of hair extensions due to there being no glue involved at all. The Micro-Ring hair extension method lasts approximately 12 weeks with maintenance being required due to possible slippage.  There is little shedding due to the hair extension strand being pre-bonded.  The hair with this method can be reused.

The HBA Weave Method

The HBA Weave Method is a wefted hair extension method. A track is made in your natural hair using micro-rings. The wefted hair extension hair is then neatly sewn onto this track with weaving thread providing a strong hold. No glue is used with this method. This method normally lasts 8 to 10 weeks. The hair with this method can be reused. This method is best suited to people with thicker hair.

THE TAPE-IN METHOD
The Tape-in system integrates into the hairline by placing the extension directly on the root of the hair using lightweight tape-in hair extensions.  Made from a super flat polyurethane weft strip, each pre-taped piece is ready to apply and stays fixed for up to 6 to 10 weeks.  Crafted using healthy, cuticle retained Remy human hair that remains tangle free throughout its lifetime.  The Tape-in extensions are completely reusable and can be reused for up to 6 months depending on aftercare.
